The INN Between seeks a qualified, licensed installer to bid on a metal awning project for our front entry.

SCOPE OF WORK 

Fabrication and installation of a 74’ flat pan patio cover over building main entrance (East-facing entrance) per the below plan.  

Structure will be attached to the fascia and comprised of .032 gauge aluminum. It will contain one 7” I beam for support and six 3x3 posts with footings into ground. The posts should have a minimum 8” diameter, yellow-colored bollard to protect them from being hit by vehicles. Bollard can be any material.  The awning will be flush with the bollards to protect the awning from being hit by vehicles. This project shall be bid with two installation options: 1) onto the cement walkway; 2) into the asphalt driveway.  Project includes all permits, materials, labor, and incidentals required for project completion.

ELIGIBILITY 

To be eligible to bid, contractors must have been in business for a minimum of five years and must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 10:00 AM, at the facility, 1216 E 1300 S, Salt Lake City, Ut, 84105. During this meeting, contractors will discuss parameters of work, ask questions, and view project location.  

BID FORMAT

  1. Bids must be submitted in writing, in a sealed envelope labeled “AWNING PROJECT BID” to The INN Between at 1216 E 1300 S, Salt Lake City, UT, 84105. Bids cannot be emailed or delivered electronically.  
  2. Bids must itemize costs of permitting, materials, labor, and any other incidental costs required to complete the project.  
  3. Submissions that include only a partial listing of bid items may be deemed non-responsive.   
  4. The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. The INN Between reserves the right to cancel RFB or the reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, when it is deemed to be in the best interest of The INN Between. 

BID DEADLINE 

The bid submission deadline is Monday, December 16, 2019 at 10:00 am.  Bids will be publicly opened, read aloud, and logged at 10:05 am.  

PROJECT COMPLETION DEADLINE 

All work must be completed by Friday, February 7, 2020 

NOTICE TO ALL PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS 

This project will be a FEDERALLY FINANCED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT. All rules and regulations governing such projects will be applicable. The contract is to be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, whose bid meets the requirements and criteria set forth in the request for bids.  Requirements for prevailing wage rates and certified payrolls apply as it is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act.  

Also, work to be completed under this project is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, the purpose of which is to ensure employment and other economic activities generated by HUD-assisted projects shall, to the greatest extent feasible, be directed to low-and very low-income persons, particularly persons who are recipients of HUD assistance for housing.  

All prime contractors participating in this project must have a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number and be registered on the federal System for Award Management (SAM) at sam.gov.  They are also responsible for ensuring all subcontractors are registered on sam.gov and have not been debarred. Full Davis-Bacon wage listings can be found at https://beta.sam.gov/wage-determination/UT20190085/5/document
