PART TIME BOOKKEEPING/BILLING JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY

The bookkeeper/billing specialist will manage the financial documents of the company by maintaining and corroborating the general ledger in addition to assisting in maintaining the payroll.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Tracks charges and refunds.
  • Informs management of any deviations from budget.
  • Reconciles all revenues with the general ledger and billing department.
  • Collects and organizes invoices and checks.
  • Uses computer systems to record invoices, checks, account statements, and other financial information
  • .Enters approved and verified bills.
  • Conducts and supervises maintenance of electronic vendor files.
  • Enters invoices for payment and daily deposit information.
  • Compares bank statements with general ledger to corroborate finances.
  • Checks balances against accounting receipt records.
  • Enters biweekly payroll information into the books.
  • Utilizes software programs in order to substantiate financial reports and value depreciable assets.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Is able to run QuickBooks accounting software, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
  • Possesses knowledge of basic procedures in bookkeeping and accounting.
  • Demonstrates ability to plan, organize, and multitask.
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in listening to and following directions.Exhibits meticulous attention to detail. .
  • Possesses experience in working with others effectively
  • Minimum five years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Accounting degree a plus.
  • Medical Office accounting preferred.
