Abel Gavilan
January 1, 1943 - June 19, 2021
Abel Gavilan, age 78, passed away peacefully in his bed on June 19th, 2021. Abel was born on January 1st, 1943. Abel was a sweet, friendly, appreciative man who always greeted our staff with a big smile and had a love for western movies and Spanish television shows. He arrived July 12th, 2019, and we were able to get in contact with his niece and nephew. We learned our friend Abel was originally from Peru and his family was trying to aid him in attaining citizenship. Due to his lack of citizenship, finding long-term care for him was nearly impossible. Abel continued to decline at The INN Between and passed away in his own bed, surrounded by staff who cared for him.
