Jon Hawke, age 60, passed away peacefully in his bed on August 30th, 2021. Jon was born on August 9th, 1961. Known for his quick wit, sarcastic character, and being stubbornly independent, he was a welcome presence around The INN Between. He liked the calm of a morning coffee, playing games, sharing his Wiccan spiritual beliefs and practices, and enjoying the company of beloved family and friends. Jon was an avid pilot and served in the U.S. Navy for over twenty years. He maintained his love for flying and utilized a computer program to practice his aviation knowledge and experience. Jon also helped pioneer our NODA (no one dies alone) program, where volunteers provide bedside company. Jon expressed his reluctance at first but grew to appreciate the comfort from their support. Jon arrived at The INN Between on July 14th, 2021, and we were honored to welcome him home for what would be his final month.
