Robert Packer
February 9, 1974 to January 17, 2022
Robert Packer, age 47, passed away peacefully in their bed on January 17, 2022, with family by his side. Born February 9, 1974, in Topeka, Kansas. Known to everyone as “Packer”, he arrived at The INN Between on December 16, 2021, and we were honored to welcome him home for what would become his final months. Packer was well-loved in the community, and The INN Between is very fond of his time spent with us. He had the mouth of a sailor and a great sense of humor. He liked to talk about his tattoos, including care bears and unicorns. Packer was a chef and regularly asked if he could cook for the residents. He was a great artist and helped start the Salt Lake Tattoo Convention. Packer would write a daily quote on the outside of his door, and we looked forward to seeing them every day. He said he truly felt loved at the end of his life, and we were honored to be a part of his journey.
