Within one week of being admitted to his new home, we said goodbye to Sheldon, our 144th resident to call The INN Between home at the end of life. Sheldon was only 54-his cancer metastasized throughout his body. Like many of the residents at The INN Between, Sheldon had a life and a career before this medical crisis took over. He was a psychotherapist and had published a few books about breathing and the power of mindfulness. Estranged from his family for many years, Sheldon was surrounded by the love and compassion of not only the staff, but by the volunteers that answered the call to sit bedside as Sheldon’s transitioned from this earthly existence. Thank you for allowing us to care so deeply about you Sheldon.
The INN Between relies on grants and donations to operate. If you feel everyone deserves the care Sheldon received, please find a way to support our mission. Volunteer, donate, or shop from our wish list.
