Born in Ashland, Ohio on February 7, 1952, Thomas was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the Navy after joining at the age of 17. He was extremely intelligent and had a thirst for knowledge. Thomas owned his own business for 35 years. He dabbled in every trade and was skilled in many. No challenge was too big for Thomas, until cancer, which forced him to stop working.
Thomas joined The INN Between family on May 20, 2017. He made sure to accomplish something every day, keeping busy with maintenance and pitching in wherever he was needed. A nature lover, Thomas was blessed to have spent one final day in the mountains with the love of his life, Sherrie. Sherrie recalls Thomas telling her that as a boy he would stand on his back porch and call the frogs to him.
Thomas died peacefully on July 6, 2017 at The INN Between. He is survived by Sherrie Sittre who cared for him during his final days, his daughter Teva Marie Harris of California and his son Lowell Thomas Harris of Utah. We at The INN Between are grateful for the time we had with Thomas. He always had a kind word, was very happy here, and will continue to be missed.
A memorial service will be held for Thomas on Friday, July 21, 2017, 10:00 am, at The INN Between. A complimentary light brunch will follow the service.
