Shannon Sweat-Tangaro · Development Specialist

A Utah native with a bilingual/bicultural background, Shannon has dedicated over 23 years to the field of Speech-Language Pathology. Her unwavering commitment to public service began at the age of 16, laying the foundation for a career marked by expertise and passion in facilitating communication and language development.

While a majority of Shannon's extensive experience has been as a Speech-Language Pathologist, she has consistently recognized the broader need for community service. Early on, she served a teacher in the Head Start program, fostering her commitment to making a positive impact in various capacities.

Shannon's journey includes invaluable contributions to The INN Between as a volunteer sharing her skills, supporting in event coordination and photography, and most recently, completing a transformative summer internship in 2023 helping with fund development. Shannon expanded her knowledge base by earning a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Utah, further enhancing her ability to advocate for and serve the most vulnerable in our community.

Now, as the Advocacy and Development Specialist at The INN Between, Shannon seamlessly combines her wealth of experience in Speech-Language Pathology with her newfound skills, continuing her remarkable journey of service and impact.
