Ben Aragon

We honor the life of Ben, a lifelong Utahn, born in Salt Lake City, whose story was rooted in love, family, and resilience.

Ben often spoke of his wife, Robin, who passed away four years ago. After 30 years of marriage, he shared that it was love at first sight, and that his heart remained deeply connected to hers. Their song, “Loving Her Was Easier (Than Anything I'll Ever Do Again)” by Waylon Jennings and the Highwaymen, held a special place in his heart and told the story of a love that never faded.

Ben was a devoted father to five children, including the two he lovingly raised as his own, and a proud grandfather to 11 or 12 grandchildren. Of all the things he did in life, he said his favorite role was being a father.

A true jack of all trades, Ben spent much of his life working on hot rods and motorcycles, even doing some drag racing along the way. If he could have gone anywhere, it would have been to a car show. He also found joy in quieter moments—reading horror books, creating art, coloring, and expressing himself through tattoos.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the NODA volunteers who sat bedside with Ben as he was transitioning, offering presence and comfort in his final moments.

Ben was surrounded by care, compassion, and dignity, and was not alone. His life was marked by deep love and meaningful connections that will not be forgotten.

May Ben rest in peace.
