Caupolican Iturriaga-Meneses

We are honored to share the life and peaceful passing of Caupolicán, who was with us for just over a week. Though his time at The INN Between was brief, his story, presence, and spirit left a lasting impression.

Born in Chile, Caupolicán later moved to California before eventually coming to Utah for a state contract during the pandemic. A devoted independent contractor, he built a life rooted in hard work and independence.

Though he never married or had children, Caupolicán was a beloved uncle, and his family held him close in their hearts. His face would light up when he spoke of them. He found joy in classical music and in reading, both of which brought him quiet comfort in his final days.

Caupolicán passed peacefully, surrounded by care, compassion, and dignity.

Rest in peace, Caupolicán. Your life was meaningful, your memory enduring. 🦋
