We are saddened to share the peaceful passing of Michael, who spent his final three weeks with us at The INN Between. At 75 years old, Michael was a kind and thoughtful soul who cherished conversation and connection.
A true people person, Michael loved talking with others and found joy in companionship. Even as his memory became a challenge, he carried a small notebook where he carefully wrote down people’s names, attributes, and what made them special—choosing always to see the good in those around him.
Michael enjoyed simple pleasures: letter writing, reading, sweets, and watching TV and movies—especially Westerns. These small joys and his warm spirit brought comfort and familiarity in his last days.
Though his time with us was brief, Michael left behind a reminder of the power of kindness, connection, and noticing the good in others.
Rest in peace, Michael. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. 🦋
